St. Francis Equity is excited to welcome Jon Gumaer as new Agronomy Manager starting April 16th.
Jon Gumaer (pronounced guh-MAR) found his place in the agronomy industry after studying agricultural business and production agriculture in college, then running his own cash grain and livestock farm in central Nebraska. While operating the farm and raising triplets plus a fourth child, he also served as manager of Thayer County Weed Control. After selling his farm and being widowed, Jon went on to gain extensive experience in agronomy sales and management, primarily for two Nebraska Coops. Five of those years were in Big Springs, NE, where Jon loved the country and the people. For the last couple of years, he has worked as Agronomy Manager at a coop in northeast Nebraska but never stopped yearning to return west. The St. Francis Mercantile Equity Exchange has provided him just that opportunity. Jon has visited St. Francis and is looking forward to becoming a productive member of the St. Francis coop team and enjoying the small-town-community life he loves.
The St. Francis Mercantile Equity Exchange was founded in 1913, by the farmers and ranchers of this community. We are dedicated to being a partner in success with our producer members. Our goals are to provide the best agricultural products and services possible to our customers, along with being a strong supporter of our rural communities of St. Francis, Kansas and Haigler, Nebraska.
